Overview

myEnterpriseManager is a pet project I have working for some time now,  It is targeted at the business to business CRM market, offering the usual contact management and additional services like group calendering, tasks, document management, invoicing, purchase orders, sales lead management and customer service services all in a very rich and interactive browser based outlook style interface.

myEnterpriseManager is currently in private beta testing, while finalizing the last couple of modules before release to the public. A website dedicated to myEnterpriseManager's Feature's will be up shortly

Objectives

  1. Rich Easy to use Interface - leveraging the power of today's browsers
  2. Desktop like application functionality in a browser environment
  3. Modular and extensible
  4. Provide a central location for crucial business information to all users (local and remote)
  5. Be cross browser and platform independent

Technologies

Fortunately very good javascript framework, ExtJS was just starting to come into it's own as I was investigating the possibility of redeveloping myEnterpriseManager from it's current version to something a bit more extensible and more generically functionally for a wide range of users, in a effort to making it into a more commercially viable product. It was also a perfect opportunity to make the transition from PHP 4 to PHP 5 and leverage a lot of the new object oriented technologies now available with in PHP.
